The leader of Norfolk Norfolk District Council hopes that today's Tour of Britain will inspire a new generation of cyclists to take up the sport.
The penultimate stage of the race is in the region today.
The riders set off from Fakenham in Norfolk at 10am and are due at the finish line in Ipswich later this afternoon.
Cllr Tom FitzPatrick says that the race could help raise the profile of cycling in the East.

"People who are really into cycling will see top class competitors, but for other people it gives that bit of encouragement to dust down the bicycle and get out there and ride."
