Mental Health: Teen's fear over long-term problems after concerns ignored

Victoria Lampard is looking at the provision of mental health services across our region.

In the second of her special reports she has been talking to teenagers who believe they'll suffer from life-long problems because their mental health concerns weren't taken seriously when they first sought for help.

Across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, mental health services for young people will receive an extra £30m of government funding over the next five years.

There are concerns that with referral rates to one trust covering Norfolk and Suffolk increasing by 57% since 2013, the extra investment can't come soon enough.
