A farmer from Cambridgeshire wants the village he lives in to become as self-sufficient as possible with people selling produce they've grown in their gardens or allotments.

Anthony Davison says growers could sell their surplus produce in the local shop and pub. He believes it would encourage people from Alconbury Weston near Huntingdon to appreciate locally grown food - rather than shopping in big supermarkets.

Kim Sewell who runs the village pub, the White Hart, says she would welcome the chance to put more local produce on her menu.

Mr Davison already runs the national website, a community interest company which helps people to find local food producers they can buy from.
