Restoration starts at the birthplace of radar

A video report by Tanya Mercer:

It was a small corner of Suffolk that played a vital part in winning the Second World War.

Now a 1.8 million pound project has started to restore the building that housed the first radar station.

Bawdsey Transmitter Block near Felixstowe was the birthplace of the vital technology. It had fallen into disrepair but lottery money is being used to restore it.
