Colchester United's injury crisis has deepened with the news that key duo Craig Slater and Kurtis Guthrie have both been ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

The U's have recently found out that Frankie Kent, Luke Prosser and Denny Johnstone will also be missing for the rest of the campaign.

Striker Guthrie picked an ankle injury last weekend and will now face surgery in the coming weeks, while Slater is also due to go under the knife to repair a double hernia.

Colchester will be hoping to get their play-off bid back on track tomorrow when they visit Cambridge United.
