Masked ram-raiders use JCB to steal cash machine in Essex

Masked raiders drove a JCB into the front of a shop in Essex in the early hours of this morning to steal a cash machine.

Witnesses say it took just six minutes to remove the machine.

It happened at Swan Street at Sible Hedingham, near Halstead, just after 3am.

The thieves wore dark hooded tops and had masks covering their faces.

Police believe a black pick-up truck and silver Audi were also involved in the raid.

It is not known how much money was stolen.
