Reigning IBF super-featherweight Gervonta Davis needed THREE attempts to make the required weight ahead of his world title defence against Norfolk's Liam Walsh.

The 22-year-old American twice weighed in 2oz over the 130lb limit before eventually hitting the target at the third attempt.

It meant it was a nervous afternoon for the protégé of legendary fighter Floyd Mayweather who could have lost his belt had he not made the weight.

There was no such drama for Walsh who weighed in bang on 130lbs.
