The Prince of Wales will visit the Merville Barracks in Colchester on Friday to meet troops, watch parachute and equipment demonstrations and attend a parade to mark the 40th anniversary of his appointment as Colonel-in-chief.

The Prince of Wales has been Colonel-in-chief of the Parachute Regiment for 40 years.

All four Battalions will be represented in a parade at Merville Barracks, during which His Royal Highness will say a few words and present medals, followed by a parachute display by the Regiment's Red Devils Freefall Display Team.
