A mystery punter from Dunstable in Bedfordshire has missed out on becoming a millionaire after the final horse in his sevenfold accumulator came in fourth at Royal Ascot.

The man placed a £40 bet at the start of the week and his first six selections won their races.

His winning bet relied on the horse Bound For Nowhere winning the 3.40 Commonwealth Cup but it came in fourth with Caravaggio the winner.

It wasn't all bad news though as Ladbrokes say the retired tipster won £12,000 pounds for the each way bet.
