A new addition to the Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance touched down at Wickham St Paul, near Halstead.
The helicopter is the first the charity has been able to buy outright - up until now all its aircraft have been leased.
Over the past week the charity has taken the helicopter on a tour of the two counties, stopping off to thank the thousands of people who raised the £6.5m it cost.
After Wickham St Paul, it was due to move on to Welwyn rugby club.
It will come into service at the beginning of August.
