Vandals strike at large number of cars in Colchester

Police are appealing for information after a large number of cars were damaged in the Hythe and Whitehall Industrial areas of Colchester overnight on Saturday, August 5.

Officers received calls after 7.45am yesterday (Sunday, August 6) to report the vehicles had their windows, wing mirrors and lights smashed in the Whitehall Industrial Estate area.

The vandalism also included cars suffering damaged paintwork in several roads including Conder Way, Whitehall Road, Commerce Way and Davey Close.

Officers are taking statements from a number of victims and witnesses and are carrying out house to house inquiries.
