The RSPCA is caring for a young seal found at Waxham beach tangled in a large rope net which was digging into her neck.

The female grey seal called Golden Bitter was rescued by volunteers from Friends of Horsey Seals on Thursday, 27 July, and was taken to the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre for treatment.

She had a huge piece of rope net embedded around her neck which was dragging behind her and had left her with a nasty wound.

She is now recovering well and it's hoped she will eventually be released back into the wild.
