Campaign against drinking in the street calls for ban

Wisbech is looking to curb the drinking of alcohol in the street.

Street drinkers are blighting a Cambridgeshire town and turning parts of it into no-go areas.

People living in Wisbech say drunk and disorderly behaviour, and empty cans and bottles scattered along the pavements, are becoming an all-too familiar sight.

Now a petition - calling for a zero-tolerance approach from the authorities - has collected more than 1,300 signatures.
