Greater Anglia says it will run a normal timetable tomorrow, despite a planned strike by some of its conductors.

Union members will walk out Tuesday 3 October and Thursday 5 October in a row over the introduction of driver-operated doors on some trains.

The rail operator says it has trained extra staff to safely cover for conductors who choose to take part.

Passengers shouldn't see any difference to normal; they can travel with confidence. We've trained up other colleagues as conductors to properly undertake the conductors role, and therefore thats enabling us to run the full normal service that passengers would normally expect.
