Earlier in the summer we asked for your nominations as we began the search for this year's regional winner for the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain ITV Fundraiser of the Year Award.
This week we will be revealing each of the finalists, four across the east and four across the west of the Anglia region.
A winner for east and one for west will be announced on Friday 20th October.
Today from the west of the region, we meet Karen Rogers from Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire. Karen's son Alfe battled cancer and inspired her to help other parents going through the same experience.

Our first finalist from the east of the Anglia region is 17 year old Harry Gardner from Writtle near Chelmsford. He hit national headlines when he wrote a song about his poorly nan.
