Dozens of parents have been protesting outside Shire Hall in Cambridge over council plans to close 19 Children's Centres.
Shutting a number of the centres - which provide early years support - would save the county council money. More than 3,000 people have signed a petition to have the matter debated in a full council meeting, which is now taking place.
The Council previously said it was re-designating children's services to better meet the needs of the community.
