Bedfordshire Police need another £10 million says crime commssioner

Kathryn Holloway

The police and crime commissioner for Bedfordshire says the county needs another 10 million pounds a year to cope with the demand on its officers.

Kathryn Holloway is asking the policing minister to treat the area as a "special case" as he looks at next year's funding settlement for the country's 43 police forces. Without the extra money, she says Bedfordshire Police's future is unsustainable.
