Cambridge to raise parking charges

Plans to increase parking charges in Cambridge City centre as a way to tackle congestion at peak hours have been criticised.

The council wants to raise charges between 8 and 10am, to deter drivers from entering the city. It's also planning to end charges at Park and Ride sites.

It comes as more and more people are renting out their driveway to people visiting the city, as drivers try to avoid costly charges.
