A space satellite built in Hertfordshire has started beaming images of pollution back to Earth.

The Sentinel 5 Precursor was constructed at Airbus Defence and Space in Stevenage.

The pictures will show us the extent of pollution - both man-made and natural - in our air around the world and hopefully lead to solutions.

The Sentinel 5 was designed to last for seven years but it's gone into orbit so successfully the signs are it could now last twice as long.
