Police are still searching for silverware including chalices, communion cups and flagons stolen from a church in Whitton, Suffolk.
A safe which held the silverware was found by a council worker in a field close to Pipps Ford Lane near Needham Market. It still contained parish record books and other documents, but they had been damaged by the wet weather.
The safe was stolen from St Mary and St Botolph Church between 8pm on Saturday 30 December and 8am on Sunday 31 December.
Ionut Avadanei, 19, and Vasile Tecaru, 20, have been charged with receiving stolen goods in connection with the burglary.
