Sir Ken Dodd died at the weekend at the age of 90, but will be remembered by many across the east.
He performed at theatres across the region with his tickling sticks and Diddy Men. He continued to perform through to his later years.
In 1999 he invited the then coxswain of the Cromer Lifeboat, the late Richard Davies, to his show in Hunstanton.
The week before Richard had been watching Ken on TV when he was interrupted and jumped into the water to save the life of a man in trouble near the town's pier.
