Prison violence scheme comes to Norwich

A scheme to tackle violence in jails is to be rolled out nationwide after a trial at a number of prisons including Norwich.

The digital reporting tool uses data about an inmate to rate how likely they are to be involved in violence.

The score is used by governors and officers to decide what wing they are placed in and which programmes they should take part in.

Norwich has been one of 16 trial prisons for the scheme.
