One person has died following a six-vehicle crash on the A12 near Ipswich.
Police were called to the collision on the northbound carriageway of the Copdock Mill interchange around 12.40pm today (Friday April 20).
Suffolk Police confirmed one person was killed.
Less than two hours later, at about 2.15pm, a second crash closed the southbound carriageway. Three vehicles were involved in that collision on the opposite side of road from the initial crash.
Police say both sides of the road are likely to remain closed for several hours.
