Pedestrian hit by taxi 'fighting for his life', say Bedfordshire Police

A pedestrian is fighting for his life after being hit by a taxi in Bedfordshire.

Police were called to High Street North in Dunstable in the early hours of this morning (Sunday May 20) to reports of a crash.

A man had been hit by the car close to the junction with Church Street at around 3.55am. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"This is clearly a serious incident which has left a man fighting for his life in hospital.

"We are working hard to establish the circumstances around the collision, and would ask that anyone in the area at the time who may have information to help our investigation gets in touch."
