Cambridge City Council has won a court order preventing a punting company carrying on its business from various locations in the city.

The authority said that Traditional Cambridge Tours and a number of individuals had trespassed by conducting unauthorised commercial operations on its land.

The High Court ruled any breach of the order would amount to a contempt of court which is punishable with imprisonment or a fine.
