Armed police called to Norwich park after man 'threatened with axe'

An arrest has been made after armed police were called to reports of a man being threatened with an axe in Norwich.

Officers were called to Wensum Park, off Drayton Road, just after 10pm yesterday (July 17th).

A 35-year-old man was arrested an hour later in St Martin's Road. An axe was also seized by officers.

Officers will be carrying out increased patrols in the park today to provide reassurance.
