Three injured after fire engine overturns on Essex/Suffolk border

Three people have been injured after a fire engine overturned on the Essex/Suffolk border.

It happened in Stoke by Nayland, near Manningtree, as the off-road vehicle was on the way to a field fire in Bulmer on blue lights last night (August 9).

Three members of the crew were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Two others were able to exit the vehicle and two more were released by firefighters from Suffolk and the ambulance service.

"The off-road vehicle from Manningtree Fire Station was en-route to assist at a field fire in Bulmer. The incident did not involve any other vehicle.
