Scottish Transport Minister will meet campaigners who want to restore the rail link between Reston and Edinburgh.

Scottish Transport Minister Keith Brown is visiting Reston where locals have been mounting a long running campagin to reopen the train station after nearly fifty years.

They claim local communities in the Scottish Borders are at risk wiithout a direct link to Edinburgh with young people leaving to find work.

The railway station in Reston shut in the 1960s and those who want it reopened say it will cost £2.25 million to get it up and running again.
