The trial of a former Carlisle takeaway owner accused of running a brothel has heard how he bombarded a 16 year old girl with text messages asking her to sleep with him for money. The girl worked at his restaurant, the Spice of India in Botchergate on two evenings.
Carlisle Crown Court was shown a video recording of her interview with the police. During it she said that Azad Miah had followed her home after her first night's work but she didn't answer the door.
He sent her numerous text messages:
"Just asking me to marry his son to keep him in the country and would I sleep with him for money, how much would I charge and stuff."
"He just scares me, he really does."
