A team of Territorial Army soldiers have marched into Carlisle after a completing a 75-mile walk along the Cumbria Way.
The managed to finish in just two and a half days despite carrying infantry combat gear weighing 25 kilos.
The soldiers are from C Company [Kohima] of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.
They included veterans from many recent conflicts including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Northern Ireland and The Falklands.
It is an exercise to keep them in readiness for further deployments but they also aim to raise thousands of pounds for Help for Heroes, The Army Benevolent Fund and the Duke of Lancaster's Regimental Charity.
