Organisers say that they estimate up to 50,000 people have turned up during the Paint the Town Red festival in Workington.
More than 100 events have been taking place across the town centre, Vulcan Park and Curwen Park.
It is to help raise funds for Hospice At Home West Cumbria which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Among the attractions is live music from local and regional bands, stunt driving, cookery demonstrations, birds of prey and a photo exhibition of old Workington.
There was also a show by Strictly Come Dancing starts Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.
It's the second time the town has held the event.
One of the organisers_ David Fletcher, who's also the development manager for Washington Square Developments, _is pleased with the turn out.
