£160,000 school extension opens

A £160,000 extension to Lamplugh School in west Cumbria will mean it can compete with larger primary schools.

The schools head mistress Anne Francis said the new additions mean the school can offer the same facilities as bigger schools in the area.

A new classroom and all weather play area have been added to the 130 year old school.

It was officially opened by the High Sheriff and Workington Reds were on hand to teach the youngsters some ball skills.
