80s rock star Fish from the band Marillion has opened a refurbished market square in Galashiels, which was the inspiration behind the song Kayleigh.

He spoke to our reporter Kathryn Samson about how he had been a forestry worker and decided he wanted to be a singer and how a pub encounter in Galashiels started his career.

He also explained how special it was to have inscriptions from the song carved into the stone.
