Cockermouth Show attracts thousands of visitors

Thousands of people have been enjoying the Cockermouth Show in west Cumbria today.

There were all sorts of breeds of sheep, cattle and poultry competing for the rosettes - a gold, silver and bronze of their own I suppose.

The show's been running since eighteen forty nine, and also featured food stalls and a playground.

Norma Boyes, Secretary of the Cockermouth Show, said despite the odd shower the day had been a complete success.
