Medallists from Southern Scotland will be honoured with a homecoming parade to celebrate Scottish Olympic and Paralympic success.
People will be able to applaud the efforts of Scottish athletes at London 2012 on the streets of Glasgow, before the medallists themselves attend at reception with First Minister Alex Salmond.
The show jumper Scott Brash from Peebles, who won Olympic gold, and the swimmer James Clegg, who won bronze at the Paralympics, will both be there.
– Shona Robison MSP, Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport
"In the year that Team GB and Scottish athletes attain a record medal haul, we must recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements of those Scottish athletes who have participated.
"As we celebrate these successes we must also look ahead to Glasgow 2014. I have great hopes and aspirations for Scotland's athletes in the Commonwealth Games and I hope people will take inspiration from these medal winners."
In all, Scottish Olympians won a record-breaking haul of medals at London 2012: seven gold, four silver and two bronze.
