Police are appealing for a missing man from Kendal to get in touch with them or his family as soon as possible.

50-year-old Michael Peter Cook has not been seen since Saturday 31 August, when he went missing from his home address.

He was last seen by friends in the Kendal town centre, although he has visited Guys St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster, London on Sunday 22 September.

Police also believe that he could still be in the London area.

Michael Peter Cook is:

  • 6 feet 1 inches tall
  • Of medium build
  • Short dark hair and a scruffy beard
  • Last seen wearing a green camouflage hat, a red waterproof jacket, blue jumper and jeans

This is out of character for Mr Cook and police and his family and friends are concerned about his welfare.

They are now appealing for him or anyone who has seen someone who matches the description to get in contact immediately.

Anyone with information can ring Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to officers at Kendal Police Station.
