Carlisle United face the prospect of League One rivals Brentford in the FA Cup second round, if they can overcome Conference South Boreham Wood in a replay at Brunton Park.
Both United and their non-league rivals had chances to steal the game but after ninety-eight minutes they remained deadlocked at 0-0.
United dominated the first half and Sean O'Hanlon was unlucky to hit the post with what looked to be a goal bound header. Russell Howard the Wood goalkeeper also produced an impressive stop from United's Lewis Guy.
But Boreham Wood also came close when Graeme Montgomery's shot from distance pulled a great save from Mark Gillespie.
But the home side clearly took confidence from going into half-time level and were noticably more dangerous in the second half. wolves loanee David Moli missing a good chance and Graeme Montgomery coming close again.
James Berrett could have stolen the game for United at the death but his volley crashed into the side netting, and on balance Wood earned their replay against a side seventy-six places above them in the Football League.
The date of that game has yet to be fixed but the winner will play Uwe Rosler's Brentford on the weekend of the 6-8 December.
