The Easter bank holiday weekend is upon us and that means the start of the summer tourist season.
Hundreds of thousand of visitors are expected into the region over the next four days, putting millions of pounds into the local economy.
Edmund King from the AA says people will take advantage of the weather this Easter:
The Highways agency says the busiest time on the roads is this evening and then again on Monday night.
Replacement buses will be used on many train services this weekend. Network rail are advising passengers to check before travelling.
On the Ferries, P and O who run services between Cairnryan and Northern Ireland say they are expecting to be very busy this weekend. Passengers have been asked to arrive well ahead of their departure time.
All these people flooding into the region is of course good news for tourism and it's thought with half decent weather it's going to be a good start to the summer season.
