A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for heavy, thundery rain, gusty winds in the showers and hail. Areas most likely to be affected are: SW Scotland and Lothian Borders: Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian, Edinburgh, Midlothian Council, Scottish Borders & West Lothian.
Valid from 11.45am to 11.55pm on Saturday 19th July. Be Aware some heavy thundery showers may continue until 11.55pm Sunday 20th July.
Showers along the Pennines with steady, heavy rain over the western side of the region, some thunder. Brighter breaks further east with odd showers. Feeling humid and warm, temperatures highest in Cumbria at 23c.
Further pulses of rain continue through the west along with rumbles of thunder. Cloudy, very warm and close. No lower than 14-15c. Little or no wind.
