Scientists: No heightened cancer risk for Sellafield children

There is no link between living near Sellafield and contracting childhood cancer, according to a report published in the British Journal of Cancer today (Wednesday 23 July).

This comes after another report in September, from the Childhood Cancer Research Group, confirmed that studies of leukaemia in children across the country showed living next to a nuclear plant did not increase the risk of contracting the disease.
