'Ultimately he is in the team to score goals': Jabo Ibehre nets Carlisle winner

Carlisle United striker Jabo Ibehre 'got his reward' by scoring the winning goal during the club's 1-0 win over Stevenage, according to Keith Curle.

The 33-year-old struck his 15th goal of the campaign in the second-half at Brunton Park to lift the Cumbrians to within three points of the playoff positions in League Two.

The goal rounded off a good end to the week for Ibehre. He also won his appeal against the red card that he was shown during his side's 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

Speaking after the match, the Carlisle boss believed Ibehre had been working hard and deserved his goal. He said:

Jabo needed that goal for himself... The team look to Jabo as a focal point, as a pinnacle. Ultimately he's in the team to score goals.

Jabo got his reward today.
