A firm hoping to bring more than 500 mining jobs to West Cumbria are holding two events this weekend providing progress reports to the public.
West Cumbria Mining (WCM) are hoping to start a a coking coal operation, using existing tunnels from the area's previous coal mining industry.
The company says it has identified billions of tonnes of coking coal - which is used by the steel industry.
Members of the public can find out how the plan is progressing by visiting the Haig Museum today and tomorrow.
WCM began investigating the area in 2014.
