A man has died following a serious two-vehicle collision involving a van and a car on the M6.
Officers were called at 2.59pm on 15 October to a report of a two-vehicle collision on the M6 between junctions 35 and 36 northbound.
The driver and passenger of the van, both male, were taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life threatening.
The driver of the car, the only passenger of the Ford Mondeo, has died. His family have been informed.
Police say the car involved was travelling south down the northbound carriageway.
The M6 was closed in both directions between junctions 36 and 35 while police investigated the scene.
