Peeblesshire motorist six times over legal alcohol limit

A Peeblesshire motorist has appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and admitted driving while six times over the legal alcohol limit.

37-year-old Graeme Haddon pleaded guilty to the offence which happened in his home village of Lamancha near West Linton at the weekend.

He recorded a breath/alcohol leading of 132 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22.

Haddon was fined £665 and banned from the road for two years.
