Border weather - Outlook for the new week

SUNDAY NIGHT:

A dry evening of prolonged clear spells with winds easing light, all leading to a widespread frost. But temperatures recovering later in the west as cloud thickens and moves in towards dawn. Lows -3°C.

MONDAY:

Frosty, bright start for many central and eastern parts. Otherwise a cloudy day with some patchy rain spreading from the west, perhaps turning more persistent in the far west later. Highs 12°C.

OUTLOOK:

Rain initially Tuesday, and windy, clearing to sunshine and showers for the afternoon. Wednesday begins mostly dry and bright. Rain from the west later.
