Freezing rain and ice has been causing a number of crashes on the A75.

Police Scotland say it has received numerous reports of collisions due to 'treacherous' driving conditions.

The A75 was closed between Glenluce (A747) and Newton Stewart for around three hours today, after a lorry crashed earlier this morning.

Scotland Transerv has issued an alert for freezing rain, covering the stretch of the road between Stranraer and Newton Stewart, with gritters on their way to the scene.
