Police are carrying out investigations following a spate of break-ins and thefts across the Border region.
In Hawick, a number of cars have been broken into, and a house entered with property stolen.
Six vehicles had their windows smashed, between 9pm on Tuesday 20 February and 6.30am the next day, in Wilson Drive.
A house in Fairhurst Drive was entered and property stolen including a mobile phone and cash during the same time.
Police report that nothing was taken from any of the vehicles, but believe that both incidents are linked.
Detective Sergeant Barry Roebuck of Galashiels’ Criminal Investigation Department said:
In the rural areas of Allerdale, £4,000 worth of meat and two charity boxes, amongst others, have been stolen.
Offenders entered a number of garages, properties and vehicles.
It happened on the morning of Monday 19 February between midnight and 4am in Borrowdale and the Buttermere Valleys.
Anyone with information about the incidents in Hawick or the Allerdale area is asked to call 101.
