Council to help police

Employees at the Civic Centre's Customer Contact Centre have received training from police officers in dealing with general policing enquiries. The aim is for people to be able to go to the council to report incidents.

Speaking at the launch, Cumbria's Chief Constable said: "This is a great opportunity for Cumbria police to engage with the public and provide a really comprehensive service withg Carlisle City Council.
