The Cumbria Youth Orchestra were under threat of disbanding, but a production marking the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic has given them a boost to the numbers.

Cumbria Youth Orchestra will perform its tribute to the Titanic in Carlisle on Monday evening. The concert will include specially written music. The orchestra itself had been in danger of disbanding because of the difficulty in getting players together. It's now planning new ventures.
