Scotland rugby union great Chris Paterson holds Olympic torch in Galashiels
All of the mascots have been taking part in 'Mascot Olympics' in Galashiels ahead of the visit of the Olympic torch relay.
Children in Galashiels have been speaking to our reporter Jenny Longden about how excited they are about seeing the torch.
Lewis Watt, who is 9, said:: "I'm really excited to see the Olympic torch, and taking part in the relay. It's fun to come with flags and make things to wear to celebrate it."
Sam Johnson, also 9, said: "I am excited to see the torch come by, because it only comes round once in a while, I am just happy to be here. It is exciting to see people come by just to see the torch."
Excited children have lined the streets of Peebles to greet the torch.
Children outside Netherdale in Galashiels have been greeting the London 2012 Mascot ahead of the arrival of the Torch.
Hundreds of people have gathered in the Borders town of Selkirk to see the Olympic torch arrive at just after 12.30. The Olympic gold medalist Alan Wells is one of the torch Bearers.
He won two medals in the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
Youngsters are having last minute rehearsals in Netherdale, Galashiels in preparation for the Olympic torch's arrival this lunch time.
